PERSONAL SAILING TUITION AND COACHING
An Introduction
Sailors take to the water with many different goals, you may simply want to sail leisurely around or you may seek greater challenges in racing. All sailors though share one aspiration - they want to improve; you know you can achieve more, but feel stuck, the notorious "plateau" can happen at any stage and improvement seems frustratingly elusive, one sailing course can seem just like any other. Many traditional sailing courses are based on a set-piece sequential instruction, "first you do A, then B followed by C". You may get some of these steps right, but then it typically all falls apart. In our sailing clinic we seek to cure your sailing ills, with a more radical approach to show how you can learn to sail more effectively by rebuilding fundamental technical ideas.
Nothing therefore changes from the most basic to the most advanced levels of the sport, if you learn what creates good sailing from the outset. Once you have understood the underlying technical concepts and have experimented with them in practice, what you do thereafter, with refinement, will take you almost anywhere you want to go on the water.
